BoiledRice™

Transforming siloed compliance into continuous operational assurance

What is BoiledRice™?

BoiledRice™ is both a framework and a platform for contextual, actionable operational assurance across Functional Safety, Industrial OT Cybersecurity, and Alarm Management.

By unifying IEC 61511, IEC 62443, and IEC 62682 within a single situational-awareness layer, it helps organisations anticipate, adapt, and operate with confidence.

At its core, the BoiledRice™ platform applies a context-aware analytical algorithm that correlates events and insights across Functional Safety, OT Cybersecurity, and Alarm systems in near real time.

But technology alone is not enough. The BoiledRice™ framework embeds this intelligence within each organisation’s operating model — aligning people, process, and culture around continuous assurance. Its modular, context-sensitive design means it is never one-size-fits-all; instead, it adapts to the operational context, scale, and maturity of each environment — ensuring it strengthens, rather than replaces, what already works.

Together, they create a coherent operational picture that enables teams to anticipate risk, make confident decisions, and assure performance continuously — building a culture of safety, resilience, and trust.

Why it matters

Today’s industrial environments are governed by three major IEC frameworks. Each serves a critical purpose, yet they often operate in silos. This separation leads to fragmented assurance, reactive management, and unnecessary risk exposure.

IEC 61511 — Functional Safety

Governs the lifecycle of safety instrumented systems that protect people, assets and the environment. Even when safety and alarm systems are linked, alarm floods, poor rationalisation, and operating-model weaknesses can prevent safety-related alarms from functioning as intended. The interface between Functional Safety and Industrial OT Cybersecurity remains a systemic gap, particularly across shared control and communication layers.

IEC 62443 — Industrial OT Cybersecurity

Defines how to secure industrial automation and control systems from cyber threats. OT Cybersecurity is often isolated from safety and operations — creating blind spots where digital threats can degrade physical protection and availability.

IEC 62682 — Alarm Management

Provides guidance for the management of alarms in process industries. When alarms are not integrated with Functional Safety and Industrial OT Cybersecurity, early warning signals are easily lost.

BoiledRice™ breaks down traditional silos — integrating data and context across safety, cybersecurity, and alarms to deliver a unified layer of operational assurance and total situational awareness.

Why we’re building it

We’ve seen first hand how fragmented assurance slows response, increases cost, and erodes confidence. Across industries, from oil & gas to manufacturing and critical infrastructure, we’ve implemented and audited all three IEC frameworks.

BoiledRice™ is our response: an integrated, context aware platform that bridges compliance with real world decision making, transforming standards into sustained, continuous operational assurance.
